Muong Hum Market. Tour Code: SPMH1E

Muong Hum is located about 3 hours drive from Lao Cai station. It is the most typical and colorful market in the area offering you the opportunity to meet a large variety of ethnic minorities such as Ha Nhi, Phu La, Tu Di, Black Dao, Giay, Red Hmong and Black Hmong. Another highlight of this trip is a visit of Muong Vi caves having beautiful stalagmite and stalactite.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Lao Cai station, you will be met by a local guide and driver then transferred to Muong Hum where is located 35km from Y Ty border. The market is opened only on Sunday. Many ethnic minorities come to the market to sell their homemade products including of vegetables, fruits and dosmetic animals. The are the Ha Nhi, the Phu La, the Tu Di, The Black Dao, the Giay, the Red Hmong. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will have lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit Muong Vi caves if the weather is fine. Stretching thousand meters long, the cave are carved with beautiful stalagmite and stalactite. The we get back on our vehicle for the journey back to Lao Cai. End of tour.

Approx: 5 hours driving/ 0.5 hour walking/ 1 hour lunch.
